AFROBUZZ!
So this year for my A2 sketchbook I'm inspired by Afro Modern Art. Hint Hint the Basquiat earlier. Moving on from that I was told to look at an artist called Ellen Gallagher and bla la la VOILA!

I keep thinking about the Phoenix... the Phoenix, what Kanye's thought process was when he created his film ''Runaway''. Whenever I think about I feel something, a raw emotion. Not to get all psycho analyzation on everything but there's a vulnerability in Kanye that I see with the fragility of the phoenix. ''they are birds turned to stone''. This made me think that Kanye is just a human being, like any individual trapped inside a reputation and false accusations. Then again this is just my opinion.

So as I always knew, watercolour is the one. Watercolour is the one. It's a fact. So Kanye West is AS PER USUAL incredibly inspiring. Watching his film ''Runaway'' got me thinking, and thinking and thinking over and over. All these stills of the film kept running through my mind, the woods was on replay in my head and Kanye kept running right through my mind over and over again. I had to do these of the phoenix, the mesmerizing Selita Ebanks (Who btw tweeted my artwork AND tagged Kanye in it! let's hope he checks his mentions) who symbolises freedom, power and...... trying to think of a word that means ''diffrent'' ....maybe unique ANYWAY the phoenix is whatever YOU want it to be.
